You can also find our developers on NWN:EE-related Discord channels. We just launched Patch 8193.20 for Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition on Steam, GOG and ! The update adds scores of features & fixes to the core campaigns, premium modules and toolsets. We also do weekly livestreams, where reply to real questions and discuss all the hot topics. That said: if it is easy enough to import the inventory system from SoU and Hotu’s henchmen system over to the OC, maybe that could be a quick change that Beamdog could look at? Assuming this is in line with whatever their philosophy is for EE with regards to gameplay changes, and isn’t too difficult to do. Guessing things like obvious bug fixes come first, and gameplay changes come after that.

Rather than Beamdog “ignoring companion changes”, it is more likely they have a large list of proposed changes, and are slowly working through them via some sort of priority system. If you’re getting frustrated with stupid AI, then blame Bioware, not Beamdog.

NWN has 2002 AI, and EE hasn’t changed the base game combat engine/AI from the original (which was intentional, given that EE was more of a visual upgrade than a gameplay upgrade). Beamdog = EAīeamdog have nowhere near the personnel that EA do, and there are game moderators from Beamdog that take the time to read and respond to players on the NWN:EE steam and Reddit forums. Community asking to fix issues with commpanions but nothing has been made for ages, regardless 100 patches. I can't count how many times I rage quit from game because of stupid AI. Originally posted by DeMOiX:Beamdog is one of the companies that they don't give a single damn about community and just ignoring everything that needs to be fixed.

They should all, at the very least, have Henchmen Inventory Control and the better Henchmen AI Support that was added in HotU, if not better. Any excuses for leaving the henchmen in their 2002 state are going to be very weak.especially in a version that claims to be "Enhanced." Please, Beamdog: Have the sense to make the very basic changes needed to bring the OC(s) henchmen up to date. The OC(s) are very likely going to be the first thing that new and returning players, as well as any reviewers, turn to. Yes, the OC, SoU, HotU, and a number of premium modules are all packaged and sold together in the "Enhanced" version, yet Beamdog seems to want to imitate Bioware's every mistake and really hasn't done anything at all to bring these expansions and modules all to a uniform and current patch level. With an acclaimed "Enhanced" version, I fully expected Beamdog to bring the OC(s) and their henchmen up to a modernized and current patch level. Indeed, Pavel, Tomi Undergallows, and the rest are still all in their sorry 2002 state, never seeing updates that only god knows how many patches introduced.

Bioware fully cheated consumers when they sold packaged sets, but never updated the OC(s) to a uniform patch level. Then June of 2003 saw Henchmen Inventory Control added with SoU and December of that same year saw much better Henchman AI Support added with HotU.
